Altrex provides the safest climbing solutions: think of stairs, ladders, or scaffolding. Anyone who has ever bought a ladder at Gamma or Karwei probably came home with an Altrex product. In addition to ready-made solutions, Altrex also supplies individual components, so that each product can last for years.
Epartment realized a component webshop, linked to Infor LN with a suitable UX/UI design that 100% aligns with the existing look-and-feel of the company.

Challenge
Altrex wanted to gain more knowledge in e-commerce in 2018. The idea was born to launch a parts webshop for stairs and ladders. This way, they could come directly into contact with the end customer, without creating a channel conflict in the sale of their main products (through dealers).

After a short briefing, Epartment came up with the idea of setting up an e-commerce environment where the end customer can easily filter based on the staircase or ladder they have (type, execution), and then quickly and visually select the right components.

We built a new Magento e-commerce platform for Altrex, with a custom front-end and a dynamic parts finder, as well as sufficient 'installation' information for the do-it-yourselfer. The next phase is upcoming, namely expansion to multiple countries in which Altrex is active.
